All Systems Logistics (ASL) and APEX Logistics Air Charter
Automotive Wire Harness Shipments
Philippines-based IFLN Network member All Systems Logistics (ASL) helped out fellow IFLN China-based forwarder Apex Logistics in shipping three separate consignments of an automotive wire harness – an electrical assembly of vehicle components that transmit power and information – from Mactan International Airport (CEB) in Cebu, Philippines to Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka, Japan.
ASL was keen to help out win this project carried out on behalf of end customer Lear Corporation Japan. Lear is a market leading global automotive specialist in seating and electrical automotive systems headquartered in Michigan in the United States.
Across late June and early July amidst lockdowns and other challenges posed by the pandemic, ASL-Apex helped move a total of more than 50 tons of cargo on those three China Eastern Airlines A330 chartered flights. As the appointed origin partner of Apex, ASL was in charge of the provision of manpower for the pick-up, loading and airport departure process, as well as the trucking, all documentation and export formalities. It also provided real-time liaison with both shipper Lear Automotive Services Philippines and consignee Lear Corporation Japan.
One particular challenge, says ASL key account executive Estilamarie Primor, arose when the China Eastern was pushing ASL as the cut-off deadline time approached while Lear faced production problems and couldn’t release necessary documents. However, all problems were addressed through effective communications and delivery was made as promised.
In other work ASL is also undertaking for Lear Automotive, it is helping to move full container load (FCL) shipments from Laem Chabang to Cebu and air freight from CEB to PVG.
ASL is very proud to work with Apex on this project and stands ready to assist Apex or any other partner looking for assistance in the Philippines for time critical solutions.
