New IFLN Members Partner in Shipping from Hungary to the Far East

Budapest-headquartered IFLN member, Nordic International collaborated with a fellow IFLN partner, Bangkok-headquartered Global Power Logistics Services, on an important shipment of goods from the Hungarian to the Thai capital. Both members joined the IFLN Network in 2016 and are already benefitting from partnering within the network's unique alliance of specially selected members.

For their first collaboration in March, a total of 18 individual packages, consisting of automobile lights weighing a chargeable 4.5 tons, were shipped by Nordic on a single flight to Bangkok, before being flown on to Tokyo Narita for the Japanese car giant Suzuki. In Thailand, Global Power handled the Customs clearance and onward delivery of the consignment.

Explains Nordic’s branch manager in Budapest, Laszlo Molnar: “Global Power Logistics Thailand supported us with great DPP [Delivered Duty Paid] service.” The customer was more than satisfied, and Molnar is more than hopeful that this shipment will not be just a one-off, ad hoc piece of business for Nordic but a regular shipment that will need to be handled on an ongoing basis.

Global Power “stepped up to a new level” at the Far East end of the shipment, Molnar enthuses, keen to collaborate with Global Power again should the need arise. In fact, he says: “We always look for long-term relations with IFLN members.”
